  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs preferably panko
  • 1/4 cup milk whole or 2%
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper or olive oil for greasing
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Meatball scoop or spoon

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  3. Using a scoop or your hands, form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops of the meatballs with olive oil to promote browning.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the meatballs are golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oven and let the meatballs rest for 5 minutes before serving.
