Method
- Add milk, water, egg, butter, flour, sugar, salt, and yeast to the bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select the dough cycle and start the machine.
- Once the dough cycle is complete, turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Roll it into a 12x18-inch rectangle.
- Spread the softened butter for the filling evenly over the dough. Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle it over the butter.
- Starting from the long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut into 12 equal slices and place them in a greased 9x13-inch baking pan.
- Cover the pan with a clean kitchen towel and let the rolls rise in a warm place for about 30-45 minutes, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle over the warm rolls before serving.
Notes
Chef's Tips:
• For best results, use room temperature ingredients to ensure even mixing in the bread machine.
• Avoid over-rolling the dough to maintain a light and fluffy texture.
• Serve warm for the best flavor and texture, or reheat in the microwave for a few seconds.
Food Safety:
• Ensure milk and water are warmed to the correct temperature to activate yeast without killing it.
• Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
