Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese whole milk recommended for creaminess
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 2 cups spinach fresh, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced, any variety
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated

Equipment

  • Baking sheet or pizza stone
  • Rolling Pin
  • Pizza peel (if using a stone)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer it to a baking sheet or pizza peel if using a stone.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Spread this mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  4. Evenly distribute the chopped spinach and sliced mushrooms over the ricotta. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  5. Drizzle the pizza with olive oil and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  7. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve.

Notes

Chef's Tips:
• For a crispier crust, pre-bake the dough for 5 minutes before adding toppings.
• Avoid overloading the pizza with toppings to prevent a soggy crust.
• Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
Food Safety:
• Ensure the pizza reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) to ensure food safety.
• Store leftovers in the refrigerator within two hours of cooking.
