Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, 1/4 cup of ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix, which can lead to a dense meatloaf.
- Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions. Shape each portion into a small loaf and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops of the mini meatloaves with additional ketchup for a glaze.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Let the meatloaves rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Chef's Tips:
• For a more intense flavor, consider adding finely chopped onions or bell peppers to the mix.
• Avoid overmixing the meat mixture to prevent a tough texture.
• Serve with a side of mashed potatoes and green beans for a complete meal.
Food Safety:
• Ensure the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 160°F (71°C) to guarantee it's fully cooked.
• Store leftovers in the refrigerator within two hours of cooking and consume within 3-4 days.
