Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 pounds salmon fillets skin-on, cut into 4 portions
  • 1 cup plain yogurt full-fat preferred
  • 2 tablespoons tandoori masala or homemade blend
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon turmeric
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, tandoori masala, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, salt, turmeric, and cayenne pepper to make the marinade. Mix well until smooth.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and coat them thoroughly with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.
  3. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) or preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. If baking, place the marinated salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  5. If grilling, place the salmon fillets on the grill, skin side down. Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. Remove the salmon from the oven or grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
