Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets about 6 oz each, skin on
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp dried dill
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lemon sliced, for serving
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Equipment

  • Grill
  • Tongs
  • Spatula
  • Instant-read thermometer

Method

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried dill, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Turn the fillets to coat evenly. Let them marinate for 15-30 minutes at room temperature.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F (200°C). Clean and oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  4. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Close the lid and cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  5. Use a spatula to carefully transfer the salmon to a serving platter. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  6. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
